I have just had a call from a very nice lady from the Marriot Hotel to discuss my issue. She explained that the car park is private property and that they introduced the new scheme with Parking Eye to try and stop misuse of the hotel car park by people not using the hotel. The Marriot assured me they certainly have no intention of inconveniencing their customers, they are just trying to find a solution to this problem.

She informed me that they have introduced a scheme whereby as long as you spend more than £10 in the hotel (i.e. you are a customer), I believe they will allow you to park for free (need to clarify the exact details). The Marriot are looking into the issue further and will be talking to Parking Eye as soon as possible to try and resolve the my issue.

I thank the Marriot for their prompt response and assistance on this matter.
