How good Is your website security ?

Pretty much all websites are constantly under attack on a regular basis by hackers these days. Large or small, they don’t care, so don’t be fooled into thinking, “my business is only small so they’ll never attack me”.

The most common ways they obtain access to your website is by “brute force” attacks, where automated “bots” constantly try and crack your user names and passwords, or by taking advantage of known vulnerabilities in old, outdated versions of software (e.g. WordPress, themes and plugins) on your site.

If you use more complex user names, very strong passwords and keep your website software updated on a regular basis, you make it far more difficult for hackers to break into your website. Generally in such cases they will give up and go and find an easier target.

If you need some help updating your website software, give us a shout and we’ll help you out!
